Deuteronomy 31:6 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you he will never leave you nor forsake you. Psalm 145:18-19 Be strong and courageous. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. They can be a great encouragement to you. These are also helpful Bible verses for depression and anxiety, or any time you feel overwhelmed. Say them out loud often until they are deep within your heart. Memorize them in order to recall them whenever you feel alone. Make them the lock screen on your phone, or tape them on your computer. ![]() Write them on your bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker. Put them in places where you go when you feel lonely. Have faith in these words because God’s promises are true! Here are 7 verses in the scriptures to help you when you feel alone. The Bible talks about loneliness and how God is with us. He knows what you are going through, and He is with you in every moment, ready to comfort you. ![]() At one point, Jesus asked His friends to pray for Him in a time of distress, and do you know what they did? They fell asleep! Imagine how alone He felt in that moment. He was publicly rejected and abandoned by his friends. He went through many of the same experiences & feelings we’ve had. Jesus came to earth and lived like we lived. Not only that, but He knows how you feel. Whether loneliness is a big or a little part of your life, God wants to carry that burden for you. Even more, He is also big enough to care about every small problem in our lives as well. God is big enough to care about the big issues in our lives. Take time to be in His presence and feel His peace and comfort. Nothing is too big or small to bring to Him in prayer. Spend time talking to God about your loneliness. Think about that for awhile - not only are you not alone, but you have the God of the universe by your side! In any difficult moment, you can be confident knowing God is with you, He is for you, and He wants what is best for you. The Creator of the sunset desires a real relationship with you. The God Who made the mountains and oceans is with you. We may not feel like it or we may dismiss such a simple-sounding truth, but there’s nothing more powerful. It may sound like just a cheesy phrase to make us feel better, but it’s true. God is always with us, and He will never leave us. Maybe you’ve moved away from family and friends. We can even feel alone in a crowded room of friends. We experience moments of FOMO (fear of missing out) or not being invited to an event. We experience loneliness at higher degrees even while we’re more connected through social media and other technology.Įveryone feels alone from time to time. What are we supposed to do when we feel alone? Not only that, but the loneliest generation is “Gen Z,” those who are currently young adults. A recent study revealed that almost half of Americans are lonely.
